How to play Spyfall

  1. Step 1

Look at your private role. Take turns asking another player a question.

Example: If the location is Airport, ask “Do people carry bags here?”

  2. Step 2

Vote for the spy when ready. The spy can attempt one location guess first.

Example: After questions, vote for Alex. The spy can instead try guessing “Airport.”

  3. Step 3

A correct accusation wins for the group. A correct location guess or missed accusation wins for the spy.

Example: A spy guessing Airport correctly wins; a wrong guess gives the group the win.

Good to know

How obvious should a question be?

Ask something that fits the location without naming it. At an airport, “Would you carry a bag here?” gives the spy less help than asking about a boarding gate.

Can the spy win before the vote?

The spy can attempt one location guess. A correct guess wins for the spy; an incorrect guess gives the group the win.

Bring your friends

Create a room with your name and share its invite link or code. Friends join from their own phones or laptops. If you are apart, use a separate voice or video call; Table Bandit does not provide voice chat. One shared laptop is another option when you can keep private cards and answers hidden from the right players.

You can open a room alone to prepare. Start when the group is ready; if someone joins later, the host can restart with everyone. Use the game’s normal turn controls to finish a match, or New round for a fresh start. Add score records a round winner when you want to keep score.
