How to play The Alibi
Step 1
The first two players get one minute to agree on their alibi.
Example: Agree that you met at a diner at 8 pm and ordered pizza.
Step 2
Interview each separately. The other suspect must be out of earshot. Ask the same questions.
Example: Ask each suspect “What did you order?” without letting them hear each other.
Step 3
Compare answers aloud. The group decides whether the alibi holds.
Example: One says pizza, the other soup. Choose Contradiction found if the group is convinced.
Good to know
Do the suspects hear each other’s interviews?
They should not. Interview one suspect while the other is out of earshot, then repeat the same questions. On a call, move the waiting suspect out of the conversation temporarily.
Who decides if the answers match?
Your group decides whether the story holds. Agree on obvious contradictions rather than treating every small difference in wording as a loss.
Bring your friends
Create a room and share its invite link or code. Each friend joins with their name. The two suspects need private preparation time and separate interviews; the waiting suspect must not hear the answers. Remote groups need a separate call with a way to isolate each suspect.
You can open a room alone to prepare. Start when the group is ready; if someone joins later, the host can restart with everyone. Use the game’s normal turn controls to finish a match, or New round for a fresh start. Add score records a round winner when you want to keep score.
