How to play Forbidden Words
Step 1
Only the clue giver checks the card; a player from the other team can referee.
Example: For Pizza, read the forbidden words privately before describing it.
Step 2
Correct guesses score one. Pass or a forbidden-word slip moves to another card without a point.
Example: Say “round takeaway.” If your team guesses Pizza, tap Got it. If you say Cheese, tap Pass / slip.
Step 3
Alternate teams for six turns. Most correct guesses wins.
Example: After six turns, the team with 10 correct guesses beats the team with 8.
Good to know
What counts as a forbidden-word slip?
Saying the answer or one of the five listed forbidden words is a slip. A player from the other team can look at the card and referee while the clue giver talks.
Does passing lose a point?
A pass or slip moves to another card without earning a point. Correct guesses score one; compare team totals after six turns.
Bring your friends
Create a room with your name and share its invite link or code. Friends join from their own phones or laptops. If you are apart, use a separate voice or video call; Table Bandit does not provide voice chat. One shared laptop is another option when you can keep private cards and answers hidden from the right players.
You can open a room alone to prepare. Start when the group is ready; if someone joins later, the host can restart with everyone. Use the game’s normal turn controls to finish a match, or New round for a fresh start. Add score records a round winner when you want to keep score.
